The Lake's Edge at 115 North Mears Avenue, Whitehall, Michigan.

Went here hoping to find a new place that would give the family another option to add to our restaurant list. I have to say I was fairly disappointed as soon as I walked in the door. Although at first glance you would think that the decor and interior looked amazing. Taking a closer look and you can see that there was absolutely no attention to detail, which was a theme throughout. It just seemed as though everyone working there was putting in their 8 hour shift at the factory. No energy or caring or sense of urgency at all. One waitress was on her phone while serving customers at the bar, don't know if she was serving family or friends but it doesn't matter. Had decent service but never received napkins during our meal. Food was edible but nothing that I would consider amazing. It feels as though that this restaurant will fall to the same trap that most do. Cooking food is only a very small piece of owning and operating a restaurant and the quality of the food here was nowhere near enough to make up for the rest of the shortcomings. Really wanted to like this place but I think it's just a case of people getting into it with the best intentions but slowly realizing what a daunting task owning a restaurant can be.
